Welcome to Dorridge Music School

2010 is the 25th anniversary year for Dorridge music school. It’s fitting then that the school will be moving up to Knowle this September to brand new premises in the centre.

DMS is the largest independent music school in the country teaching over 500 students per week and provides keyboard , drum and musical theatre tuition at Knowle primary and Coppice junior schools. As an examination centre for the London college of music, exams are held 3 times a year on the premises and the school prides itself on an exceptionally high achievement record.

Under head teacher Leigh Perry, a team of highly qualified and experienced teachers, many having studied at Birmingham’s Conservatoire and having performed as concert musicians or in working bands, enable the school to offer a wide range of skills teaching not only for examination, but the art of performance, accompaniment, composition and ensemble work!
