LCM Exams cater for candidates of all levels: from introductory
examinations, though graded exams (or innovative 'leisure play'
exams for candidates which wish to play pieces only), to four levels
of diploma in performance and teaching. Qualifications are offered
in an exceptionally wide range of subjects encompassing classical,
jazz, pop, rock and traditional music genres.
Examinations are held across a network of local public centres, Dorridge
Music School is one of those centres.
LCM examinations are unique in the graded examinations world in being
awarded by a university, while accreditation by the QCA assures
validity are a standard consistent with other approved boards.
Grades 6-8 qualifications in accredited subjects attract UCAS points
towards university entrance.
