OverAll fine arts award and trophy

We are very proud to announce that David Charles has won the "OverAll fine arts
award and trophy" for his outstanding drama performance as Roger in Grease, for
his artistic ability in practical art work and for his achievement of grade 1 Violin,
from his school at Eversfield.

Organ Scholorship
|
Phillip Blenkinsop started learning the keyboard as a beginner at Dorridge Music
School aged just 9 in 2006. Within a year Phillip switched to the piano and soon
after that started Electronic Organ lessons aswell. This year he achieved a Distinction
at Grade 6 E Organ and is already at Grade 5 Piano. Phillip was also delighted to
be awarded a SCHOLARSHIP to learn the pipe organ at Solihull School. Phillip is
taught Piano by Peter Angelides and organ by Leigh Perry.

" A Family Affair "
Julie Mcgovern joined DMS having keyboard lessons 9 years ago.After passing grade
5 she transferred to electronic organ and was invited to join the Elite show group
who played at Birmingham Symphony Hall for Dorridge music schools 21st Anniversary
concert in March 2010. However it is not only Julie who has music lessons at DMS
, all 3 of her sons learn the guitar and now her husband has started vocal tuition
with Kirsty Davis.
Knowle Class of Distinction
A class of 5 keyboard students from Knowle Primary School , taught by Leigh from
Dorridge music school have just achieved a " Quintet of Distinction " with all 5
children passing their first keyboard exam with marks ranging from 85 % - 91 %.
Congratulations to Claudia Manley , Emily Johansson , India Williams , Olivia Timmins
and Thomas Rose.
